The main history stages of KM Bank’s development

1992 – On 27 July in 1992, the Head Administration Office of the RF Central Bank for Tumen’ Oblast registered «the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk for Revival and Development of the Nations of the North».

1993 – The open joint-stock company, THE BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK, becomes the first contracting party in Russia for the RF Pension Fund budget administration. The Bank is granted the right to perform banking operations in hard-currency.It becomes an authorized dealer of the RF Ministry for operations with gold certificates. A branch of the Bank is opened in the town of Sovetskii

1994– Affiliated branches of the Bank are established in the towns of Tumen’, Syrgut, and Novosibirsk. The Bank enters the UNION CARD payment system – the highest-capacity system in Russia.  The first teller counter is opened in the town of Khanty-Mansiysk. The Bank joins the Siberian Inter-Bank Currency exchange and receives a status of an authorized Bank of the Administration of the K-M Autonomous Territory for investment projects and programs.

1995 – By the resolution of an extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting, the organizational status and the name of the «Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk for Revival and Development of the Nations of the North» are changed to an open joint-stock company the BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK. The Bank becomes a managing company for the Khanty-Mansiysk non-governmental pension fund. The Bank receives a status of an authorized bank of the RF Ministry of  Finances in transactions with Treasury bonds.

1996 – The Bank is given  a license for precious metals operations.

1997 – The Bank obtains a general license ¹ 1971 as of 09.07.97, which grants the right to banking transactions in roubles and foreign currency in Russia and abroad.

1998 – The statutory capital is increased up to 40 million RUR. An affiliated office of the Bank is opened in the town of Yugorsk.

1999 – The statutory capital is increased to form 100 million RUR. The Bank joins the international Eurocard/Master Card payment system. The KMAT Governor, Aleksandr Filipenko, is elected  to be a Chairman of the Board of Directors.

2000 – An issue prospectus amounting to 900 million RUR is registered. The Bank is granted a license for professional operations in the securities market.

2001 – The statutory capital is increased  to 1 billion RUR. The Bank joins the Association of Russian Banks, the Association of Credit Organizations of Tumen’ Oblast, and the Association of the regional banks «Russia».  According to the results of the year 2001, the Bank tops the list of 100 biggest banks of the Urals region in net profit performance.      

2002 – The statutory capital is increased to 2 billion RUR; an affiliated office is opened in the town of Nefteyugansk; and a controlling stock of the OJSC Komvesbank is purchased. The RF State Customs Committee enlists the KM Bank into the Register of organizations liable to stand as Guarantor to the Customs agencies.   The KM Bank President, Dmitrii Mizgulin, is announced the winner in the Russian contest «Banker of the Year» and «Manager of the Year in Banking».

2003 – Affiliated offices of the Bank are opened in St. Petersburg, the towns of Nizhnevartovsk, Raduzhnyi, Langepas, Beloyarskii, and the settlement of Beryozovo. The Bank is granted a status of a Principal Member in the MasterCard and Visa payment systems. A credit agreement No. 1 is concluded between the KM Bank and the Central Bank of Russia. This makes the KM Bank the first organization in Russia liable to getting credits from the CB of Russia. The KM Bank President is elected Chairman of the Board of the Association of crediting organizations of Tumen' Oblast. The KM Bank becomes the winner of the contest «Bank of High-Standard Services». The KM Bank President, Dmitrii Mizgulin, is the winner of the Russian contests «Banker of Year» and «Manager of Year in Banking».

2004 – The General Meeting of shareholders of the Bank adopted a resolution to issue shares worth of 700 million RUR. THE JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK was audited by the Central Bank of Russia and admitted into the system of obligatory insurance. Also, the Bank was certified by the international payment systems MasterCard International and Visa International, and put into operation its own processing center based on the software code Open Way Systems. The issue of plastic cards of the Bank of Khanty-mansiysk exceeded the amount of 300 thousand. New affiliated branches of the Bank were opened in Megion and Nyagan’. In June 2004, a representative office was started in Prague.
   THE JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK is the  prizewinner of the contests «The best bank operating in the regions in 2004» and « Leader in business in Yugra – 2004» in the nomination «Finances». The bookkeeping and tax accounting services of the Bank were acknowledged as the best-organized services in Russia in 2004. President of the Bank, Chairman of the Management Board was the prizewinner in the contest «The best manager of XXI century».

2005 - The RF Central Bank registered the filed report on the additional issue of shares of JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK with a total par value of 700 million RUR. After the issue, the bank statutory capital exceeded 2 billion 700 million RUR. In December, the general shareholders meeting adopted a resolution on an additional issue of equity totaling to 2.3 billion RUR. The bank of Khanty-Mansiysk became member of the interregional credit history bureau (ICHB) established in Tumen’ oblast. Within 2005, 15 additional bank offices were opened across the KMAT territory.  The Standard & Poor's (ïðîøåäøåå)  International rating agency announced a growing rating of the JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK:    the long-range credit rating shifted upwards from «B-» to «B+», skipping two levels, the short-range credit rating from «C» to «B», and the national scale rating from «ruBBB» to «ruA». The outlook rating is «Stable».
   The President of this crediting-financial organization, Dmitrii Mizgulin was named among the winners of the «National Banking Prize» in the nomination «For effective management». The JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK became the winner of the second territorial competition « Leader of business in Yugra –2005» in the nomination «Finances». JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK was acknowledged  the winner of IV All-Russian competition «Russian organization of high social efficiency» in the nomination «Banks». This rating event was organized by the RF Ministry for economic development and trade. The bank was awarded «Diploma of reliable partner in implementation of major resolutions in national youth policy in KMAT».

2006 - The bank of Khanty-Mansiysk was named one of the winners of an open tender announced by the Administration of the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous territory – YUGRA, which gives the right to participate in the regional mortgage project. To this end, the bank had consolidated 4 billion RUR of its own funds and attracted investments that are expected to be offered as mortgage loans to population in 2006.
   The Bank President, Dmitrii Mizgulin, was awarded the title of “The Best Banker of Russia” in the international contest
   The first vice-president of the bank, Aleksandr Smirnov, became  the  winner in the international contest “Manager of the Year in Banking – 2005”.
   The Bank President, Dmitrii Mizgulin, is an elect deputy to the KMAT-YUGRA Duma, where he is a Chairman of the committee for budget, finances and economic policy of the legislative branch of the territory government.
   The process of certification to meet the international regulations and standards for processing American Express cards in trading-service companies had been successfully completed.
   The capital city of the territory had seen opening of an honorary consulate of the Chech republic in KMAT-YUGRA, which is headed by the president of the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk, Dmitrii Mizgulin.
   The RF Central Bank had approved and registered an issue of common inscribed non-documentary shares of the bank of Khanty-Mansiysk in the amount of 2.3 billion RUR.

2007 - At a session of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK, Dmitrii Mizgulin, was appointed to the position of Chairman of a subcommittee for banking. On July 27, the Bank celebrated its 15-year anniversary; during the festivities 90 best workers of the Bank were awarded Honorary Diplomas and Letters of Appreciation from the local governments, financial community of the country, and corporate awards. The RF Federal Customs Service included the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk into the list of financial organizations that can act as guarantors in Customs Service operations. According to the results of the rating by the  Association of Managers of Russia and the KOMMERSANT Publishers, President of the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk Dmitrii Mizgulin was nominated as one of the best managers of the country as a leader of a commercial financial organization. The Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk was awarded the Diploma of Reliable Partner by the Govern-ment of KMAT — Yugra for a considerable contribution into implementation of the youth policy in the region.
   Within 2007, the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk opened 20 new branch offices to provide services to individual customers. The Board of Directors of the Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk approved an increase in the charter capital to as high as RUR 7 bln.

2008 - The Standard & Poor's International rating agency increased the long-range crediting rating of the JSC BANK OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK from ‘B+’ to ‘BB–’ and confirmed the short-range rating at the ‘B’ level. Also, the national scale rating was increased from ‘ruÀ+’ to ‘ruÀÀ–‘. The outlook rating is ‘Stable’. The Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk found itself among a thousand biggest financial organizations of the world by the volume of own capital. New branch offices were opened in the towns of Noyabrsk (Yamalo-Nenetskii Territory) and Kurgan and also 26 new service offices.
   The Bank of Khanty-Mansiysk increased its charter capital by 40% — up to RUR 7 billion, by allocating the shares of an additional issue amounting to RUR 1 billion 995 million.
